CREATING A PIECE OF JEWELRY AS UNIQUE AS YOU ARE.

In-Store Consultation:

We want your first meeting to be relaxing, fun and inspiring. Our ultimate goal is to create a piece of jewelry that we can all be proud of, and have a fun time doing it!

We truly love designing and creating fine jewelry, and we promise to pay extra time and attention to ensure that everything is just right! Whether you know exactly what you want or have absolutely no clue…we listen to understand each client’s tastes and look at each project as a fun challenge to create a unique and beautiful work of art. If your piece will have a gemstone, we will often start the process by helping you choose the perfect one for you. This service is absolutely free of charge and is of no obligation.

CAD Rendering

The production process often begins with modeling your piece with our state of the art 3-D computer modeling software, and several photo-realistic renderings are created for you to view. Often we work with you to “tweak” the design to perfection at this point, again at no extra charge. For pieces where CAD modeling is not the right approach, we may sketch, hand carve wax models or hand fabricate our designs. At this point we can generally give an accurate estimate of cost, and with your approval and a deposit we will move forward. We ask for 50% down.

Wax Model Carving

Wax models are used both for settling design details and for production of cast pieces. If the piece is to be cast, and most are, we first create a wax model. We do this by using a combination of 3D printing and hand carving to create the perfect blend of artistry and detailed perfection.

Casting

Once all waxes have been approved, the jewelry is now set for casting. We use a “Lost Wax” method of casting the wax into the precious metal. Castings come out with a smooth but matte surface finish, and require significant hand work to bring out the perfect finish of platinum, gold or palladium. This is intricate work, and requires much skill and a fine eye for detail, as well as dedication to quality and craftsmanship.

Time Frame

Most custom designs are completed within a 6 to 8 week window. If you have a specific date in mind of having your design finished, we have been known to push things along faster.
